Can both USB-C ports support up to 140W?
Yes. Both USB-C1 and USB-C2 independently support up to 140W maximum output when used individually with a compatible PD3.1 device and an appropriate high-power USB-C cable.
The charger's total output is limited to 170W when multiple ports are used simultaneously. Actual power depends on the connected devices, charging protocols and cable capabilities.
Why is the charger rated at 170W if each USB-C port supports 140W?
The 140W rating refers to the maximum output capability of each USB-C port when used individually. The charger itself has a maximum total output of 170W.
This means you can access up to 140W from either USB-C port when charging a single compatible high-power device, while the available 170W total power is intelligently managed when multiple devices are connected.
Can I charge two laptops at the same time?
Yes. Both USB-C ports are designed for high-power charging, allowing you to connect two USB-C laptops simultaneously.
When two devices are charging at the same time, the charger intelligently manages the available power within its 170W total output capacity. Actual charging power depends on the requirements and charging protocols of each laptop.
Can it fast charge a MacBook Pro 16-inch?
Yes. The charger supports up to 140W PD3.1 output through either USB-C port when used individually with a compatible MacBook Pro and suitable high-power USB-C cable.
For the highest charging performance, your MacBook Pro, USB-C cable and charger must all support the required PD3.1 power level.
Do I need a special cable to get 140W charging?
Yes. To reach up to 140W PD3.1 charging, you need a compatible high-power USB-C cable that supports the required power level.
If your cable has a lower power rating, the connected device may automatically limit charging power even though the charger itself supports up to 140W.
Can I charge a laptop, phone and tablet at the same time?
Yes. The charger features 2 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A port, allowing you to charge multiple devices simultaneously.
For example, you can connect a laptop to USB-C1, a phone to USB-C2 and another accessory to USB-A. The charger automatically manages available power between the connected devices within its 170W total output limit.
What are the three charging modes?
The charger provides three intelligent charging modes:
Turbo Mode: Designed for demanding workloads and high-power charging when maximum performance is needed.
Smart Mode: Automatically optimizes power management for balanced, efficient and quieter everyday charging.
Manual Mode: Gives you more direct control over power allocation, allowing you to customize how charging power is managed between ports.
What information does the LCD display show?
The built-in TFT LCD display provides real-time charging information, including power output, temperature and charging status for the connected ports.
This allows you to see how your devices are charging without relying on guesswork.
Can I control the charger from my phone?
Yes. The AOHi App connects to the charger through Bluetooth.
Through the app, you can switch charging modes, enable or disable individual ports and monitor charging information.
No Wi-Fi or cloud connection is required for Bluetooth control.
Why isn't my device charging at the full 140W?
The 140W figure is the maximum output capability of the USB-C port. Your device will only draw the amount of power it is designed and negotiated to support.
Actual charging power can be affected by:

• USB-C cable power rating
• Battery level
• Device temperature
• System workload
• Multiple devices connected simultaneously
It is normal for the displayed charging power to change during charging as the device manages its battery and power consumption.
Why does the charging power change when I connect another device?
When another device is connected, the charger needs to redistribute its available power within the 170W total output limit.
The connected devices may also renegotiate their charging profiles. As a result, the displayed power of one or more ports may change after another device is connected or disconnected.
This is normal behavior for an intelligent multi-port charger.
Does it support PD3.1 and PPS fast charging?
Yes. Both USB-C ports support USB Power Delivery 3.1 and PPS charging.
USB-C1 and USB-C2 each support up to 140W maximum output with compatible PD3.1 devices and cables.
Actual charging speed depends on the charging protocol supported by the connected device.

If the charger becomes excessively hot or enters a protection state, disconnect the connected devices and allow the charger to cool before using it again.
